Senior Proposal Associate
Role Summary
The Senior Proposal Associate is responsible for supporting the Value Demonstration Director and the Business Development (BD) team with execution of the proposal process, encompassing proposal development, quality assurance, team coordination, reporting and delivery.
Working closely with, and reporting to, the Value Demonstration Director, the Senior Proposal Associate will be capable of working in a matrix with BD and operations support team members. The Proposal Associate will be adaptable and work individually as well as take direction from team members. They must possess a can-do attitude, proactively engage, and demonstrate effective time-management skills to ensure success within the role, and to contribute to FIECON’s vision.
Role Responsibilities & Requirements
Proposal development: Assisting the BD leads in proposal development and preparation, including:
- Writing parts of assigned proposals – opportunities of low to medium complexity
- Carrying out any necessary research
- Updating project team bios ensuring they are tailored to each opportunity and project description
- Formatting and proofing outgoing documents
- Supporting the development and management of proposal templates (Word/PowerPoint)
Co-ordinating the proposal development process: Supporting the BD leads with aspects of the proposal development process, including:
- Running Salesforce reports to support the Proposal Manager with proposal planning
- Updating RFPs and opportunities in Salesforce as needed
- Co-ordinating assigned proposal teams including setting Teams Channel, supporting with scheduling strategy meeting for proposal kick-off and hand over meetings between BD and Operations for won opportunities
- Following up with proposal teams, including BD leads and assigned operations team members, to ensure high quality, timely proposal deliverables
- Perform other administrative work as required
Reporting: Supporting the proposal manager to collate and manage FIECON and team experience including:
- Data mining and analysis of past projects, extracting information from previous project (e.g. therapeutic area and functional expertise) to use for proposal efforts and creating a database of FIECON’s previous experience
- Ensuring RFPs, proposals, and presentations are stored in their appropriate file locations on the company server, proposal library and categorized appropriately

Qualifications & Experience
Essential
- Proven experience as a Proposal Associate, achieving role deliverables to a high standard
- Experience in pharmaceutical and/or medica device development, preferably in FIECON’s key service areas (https:/fiecon.com/services/)
- Experience in developing high quality presentations (PowerPoint decks), writing proposals (word documents) and communicating scientific data clearly
- A BSc in Science, Economics, Business, or a related field (minimum)
- Excellent IT and numerical skills including proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Demonstrated experience of developing and implementing standards & processes
- Excellent business development experience, including evidence of the ability to generate new business and grow existing business by effective lead generation, proposal and pitch development
- Demonstrated experience of working closely with clients at all levels and building and maintaining lasting relationships
Desirable
- Previous experience working in a consulting environment
- Experience of working with clients in the pharmaceutical industry
