We have a fantastic opportunity for students studying an MSc in Health Economics or similar to join our team as an Intern Associate in the summer of 2025!
We are looking for positive, self-motivated individuals who would like to write their dissertation on one of our project proposals, as well as work for us on a part time basis.
This opportunity offers exposure to a health economics consultancy environment where you will learn on the job, alongside a supportive team with an award winning culture.

What does your typical day look like?
Every day at FIECON is different, but the main purpose of this role is developing and delivering high quality health economics, outcomes research and market access solutions for pharmaceutical clients.
We follow FIECON’s core principle of respecting the technical whilst delivering the practical. You will be combining the need for commercial strategy and foresight with your technical ability to solve all types of problems.
One day you might be dialling onto an international conference call with clients in the United States to discuss the best model structure to demonstrate economic value of a pharmaceutical therapeutic, the next day you could be collaborating with a pioneering Doctor or research professional.
There will be opportunities to develop your technical, and consulting skills through project work and personalised training programmes so that you can be a part of ground-breaking developments in health care and be the best that you can be in your career.
What are the key ingredients needed for the role?
We are looking for excellent communicators, both verbally and in writing. Attention to detail is a key part of the role, our work here at FIECON impacts major decisions in the world of health care and we need to get it right!

Recruitment process:

We require all candidates to complete a 2 hour online competency test before we start the interview process. This consists of a 30 minute chat with a member of our People team.
Required Qualifications
Candidates should be in the process of undertaking one of the following courses:
- MSc Health Economics
- MSc Economic Evaluation in Healthcare
- Health Economics & Health Policy
- Health Economics & Decision Science
- Excellent IT & numerical skills including proficiency in Excel, Word & PowerPoint
- Knowledge of VBA coding, R, STATA, SAS, SPSS would be highly beneficial
- Relevant experience or an interest in medical research/healthcare industry
Compensation and Benefits
- £20,000 salary (pro rata)
- Part time role from June to September
- Annual leave (pro-rata) + bank holidays + birthday day
- Flexible working

- 4.5 day working week (Friday afternoons off if you successfully complete your week's work!)
